Are clichés a good thing? In my opinion, NO! Especially not in the Public Relations industry. Working in a company with only one type of service to offer is quite difficult. To keep the message fresh and useful is a challenge we face every day. We have to be VERY careful that the type of message we send out, has not been used before, as it might become meaningless or even have no effect on our target audience.
The last thing a Public Relations Practitioner would like to hear about their product or service is, “Oh, what a cliché!”
